Femmes Fatale
From the beginning in 1999 the Femmes Fatale were built to be something different. A team that could bring attention from the national media to the game of paintball. Watch their story…
Florida Annihilators
The Florida Annihilators, founded by Bob Pitts in 1986, are one of the longest running paintball teams in the game’s history. Iconic Paintball Teams Series: Season 01, Episode 8
Watching Avalanche in their heyday was like watching Mike Tyson, or “Manny being Manny,” or Dennis Rodman–domination one minute, train wreck the next. In their prime, Avalanche could beat any team in any professional paintball league and make their opponents look foolish in the process. And the very next day after an all-nighter at the bar, they could sometimes be seen fighting amongst themselves after a loss. And then there’s the sniper incident…. another reason you never took your eyes off this team. Watch it all unfold here.
Navarone
When Andy Greenwell formed The Guns Of Navarone in 1985 with his two friends Lucas Foster and Ricky Thom, his mission was clear from day one… win the NSG National Championships.
Although teams like the Unknown Rebels, Atlanta Blue and others were early powerhouse teams, Navarone was different. They were the first known team to deploy an extensive playbook. The team’s players had designated positions on the field, also a first. They were the first known team to not only play every week, but to incorporate a workout schedule, scrimmages against other teams and institute a system of recognition for players that excelled in practices and later in events.
Navarone became the first sponsored team in the game’s history when they struck a major sponsorship deal with Marty Tripes of JT Paintball, then called JT Racing, in 1986.
Their story is so much more than this…
